In order to compensate GHG-emissions, the Forest Carbon Group uses the natural function of forests. The principle is simple: by planting trees we take carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere. By conserving existing forests we prevent climate endangering greenhouse gas emissions. Thus we help to safeguard forests as carbon stores. By transforming decimated forests into functioning ecosystems again we increase the capacity to absorb carbon dioxide in plants and soil. We finance, develope and undertake world wide forest projects in order to set up a portfolio with solutions for climate protection for our clients.
